Discover the Veterans History Project

Thu, September 20, 2007

THE WAR arrives on KAKM starting this weekend — Sunday, September 23 at 7:00 p.m. It’s been a huge collaboration between Ken Burns, PBS and a variety of foundations and individual donors from around the country. It’s also been a collaboration of the many people and organizations with information, memorabilia and stories from World War II, both at home and on the battlefields of Europe and the Pacific.

To help permanently document this rich and complicated history, the Library of Congress is hosting the Veterans History Project, launched in conjunction with THE WAR. You can share your stories and browse the growing archives of materials online starting immediately. Learn more at the Veterans History Project web site.
