Watch “The War Stories” online
Tue, September 11, 2007
Local PBS stations across the country are preparing for the release of THE WAR later this month. In some cases, stations have created extra features to broadcast in conjunction with the new Ken Burns documentary. For example, here at KAKM we’re broadcasting a series of testimonials honoring the service of family and friends in World War II.
Meanwhile, PBS affiliate WITF in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania has posted another series of brief videos — The War Stories — as part of their own remembrance of the many lives touched by World War II, whether on the battlefield or the homefront.
Highlights include war veterans, a holocaust survivor, a real life “Rosie the Riveter” and more.
