Your Schedule Page says “Occasionally our final broadcast schedule differs from these listings or listings printed in TV Guide or the Anchorage Daily News.” (ADN) Your new schedule for November was posted on Nov. 15th. The Friday edition of the Anchorage Daily News was printed after KAKM posted the schedule change. Is it possible for KAKM to provide an update to the Daily News so they can print a current schedule?
My wife and I enjoy listening “Anchorage Edition”, and generally go by the ADN’s TV listings. Your hidden change in schedule caught us unawares. It would help people like me, caught by KAKM’s change in schedule, if the broadcast of “Anchorage Edition” on KSKA followed the sceduled broadcast time on KAKM.
I was unaware if this webpage until tonight; it was not on your website the last time I looked at schedules earlier this year. I am pleased that you have added a feed-back method, and thanks too for the spelling checker.
Hi Jacob,
Thanks for your kind feedback as I know it’s really frustrating to settle in to watch a favorite show only to find it pre-empted! (I have received some not-so-nice voice mail about missing Anchorage Edition on KAKM this week.) Programming changes are never done lightly. We try and get the schedule perfected about six weeks out. Sometimes we have to make adjustments at the last minute. We do provide our monthly program schedule and any updates as soon as they are available to the Anchorage Daily News and about four television listing services that the Daily News and others use as their primary source of information about our schedule. Unfortunately, timing is an issue. We may have to make a programming change that misses the paper’s deadline for getting the change included. That’s why we do try and keep our site as up to date as possible. It would be good if we could publicize this fact more… which we strive to do with limited resources. I’m glad you found us online, and I hope you help us spread the word to friends and family!
