Legislative Coverage Begins on 360 North Channel

Gavel-to-Gavel Alaska, the statewide television and Internet webcasting service produced by public television station KTOO-Juneau, starts a new season of Legislative broadcasts when the Legislature convenes Tuesday, Jan. 15. Live coverage includes opening day House and Senate floor sessions, as well as Governor Sarah Palin’s State of the State address before a joint Legislative session beginning at 4:00 p.m.
Gavel to Gavel Alaska is broadcast in Anchorage over-the-air via KAKM’s digital service KAKM 7.3 on the new 360 North Channel, a full-time stream of Alaska programming, including public affairs specials, documentaries, historical programs, Native interest shows and more. KAKM will also air the program on its primary service KAKM Channel 7 at 8 p.m., pre-empting the 8:00 p.m. airing of FRONTLINE. FRONTLINE repeats at 1:00 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 16.
Gavel to Gavel Alaska is also available on cable via GCI Cable and on satellite via Dish Network and DIRECTV. The service and schedule of programming is available live on the Internet at www.ktoo.org/gavel.

KAKM Digital 7.3 Service Interruption Notice

KAKM’s digital service 7.3, the 360 North Channel, will be interrupted Thursday morning, January 10, 2008 between 1:00 a.m. and 4 a.m. so that AT&T Alascom can make adjustments to the satellite uplink power amplifiers, and restore redundancy.
