The March 14th taping of ANCHORAGE EDITION will be seen on KAKM on Sunday, March 16 at 11:30 p.m. The program resumes normal schedule on March 21. Today’s program will air at its regular time on KSKA FM 91.1.
Each week, host Michael Carey gathers journalists and commentators for a review of the week’s news, politics and public affairs in Anchorage and Alaska. Today’s topics include:
- Lt. Gov. Sean Parnell’s announcement to run for U.S. House of Representatives, challenging incumbent Rep. Don Young.
- Upcoming Anchorage Municipal Election with Assembly and School Board seats.
- Anchorage Daily News Editorial Board meetings with candidates re: endorsements.
- Update on a Constitutional Amendment, HJR 28, that awaits floor action in the House. Measure will alter the Constitutional Budget Reserve Fund if approved.
- Alaska Senate’s approval and House consideration of appropriating $300 million for home weatherization.
- Talk about drafting Gov. Sarah Palin for Vice-President.
