Starting tonight (Monday, 8/25) and running through Thursday, KAKM is proud to bring you PBS’ special Democratic Convention coverage. NOTE: while the live activities start at 4:00 p.m. Alaska time, we’re tape-delaying the playback to 7:00 p.m.
Anchored by Jim Lehrer of The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer, will include extended uninterrupted coverage of podium activities and speeches; reporting from the floor of the convention; newsmaker interviews; political analysis and historical perspective. NewsHour senior correspondents Gwen Ifill, Ray Suarez, Judy Woodruff and Margaret Warner will join Lehrer. Political analysis will be provided by New York Times columnist David Brooks and syndicated columnist Mark Shields. Presidential historians Michael Beschloss and Richard Norton Smith will add historical perspective; Andy Kohut, president of the Pew Research Center, will update viewers with the latest polling information. Hope you have as good of coverage of the
Republican convention, but I doubt you will
@AlRay — PBS plans a full four-day coverage blitz next week for the Republican convention as well: Monday-Thursday starting at 7:00pm each night.
