NOTABLE CHANGES THIS MONTH:
- The PBS Kids programming lineup has changed effective September 1 (and September 20). The changes are fairly significant, with some cancellations, several moves and some great new shows. If you’re a heavy user of kids programming, please download the Kids Programming Changes document (PDF link above) to see all the changes at once and then download all the Daytime grids (PDF links above) for the schedule across specific days.
- By popular demand, we’re bringing back more weekend “how to” programs, including sewing programs and more cooking shows! Starting Saturday, September 20th:
- Sewing with Nancy — Saturdays, 9:00am
- Martha’s Sewing Room — Saturdays, 9:30am
- America Sews with Sue Hausmann — Saturdays, 10:00am
- Fons & Porter: Love of Quilting — Saturdays, 10:30am
- Ciao Italia! — Sundays, 2:00pm
- Delicious TV: Totally Vegetarian — Sundays, 2:30pm
- Culinary Travels with Dave Eckert — Sundays, 3:00pm
- The Piano Guy — Sundays, 3:30pm
- The Republican National Convention is taking over evening programming for September 2, 3 and 4. They were originally set to run Sep 1-4, but the NewsHour team decided to change their coverage with changes made ot the RNC schedule at the last moment (in reaction to hurricane Gustav’s arrival on the Gulf Coast). Tune in each evening at 7:00pm.
- We’re offering some favorites and new programs during this month’s special pledge programming. We’ll post more info soon, but perhaps the most exciting thing is a national LIVE music show on Saturday, September 13 starting at 4:00pm. It will feature singers and bands made famous during the 1960s. PBS stations nationwide are broadcasting this special event.
