I would like to request that you do a bit better job of screening your hosts for the auction and any other event where a person will be expected to have good language and speaking skills.
The gentleman who has been announcing the descriptions of the item up for auction (and providing commentary)just doesn't seem to be very articulate and, more problematic, he does not appear to have a good knowledge of how to pronounce even common Alaska names. He certainly seems to be personable but I have to say that if I were a sponsor who had provided an auction item and found that my name or the name of the business was consistently mangled by the recipient; I would be pretty upset. I was amazed that when Rick ? commented that he was a lifelong Alaskan. I don't think there is a "Chugiach State Park" but there is a Chugach State Park.
Perhaps you could do a bit better job of screening guest or other hosts of this and other events or, at the very least, have someone go over the names BEFORE air time. Almost all Alaska libraries and broadcast media have compies of pronounciation guides by Tom Duncan and Russ Tabbert as well a Donald Orth's Dictionary of Alaska Place Names. Any media person could benefit greatly by spending some time with any or all of these titles.

Yours for better broadcasting,
